BHOPAL: Minister for Public Works Department Gopal Bhargava has said that the main goal of Atma-Nirbhar Madhya Pradesh is to create maximum job opportunities.

The government has prepared a plan by setting up an inter-departmental group, he said.

He expected that all departments would regularly review them to create the road to generating 100,000 jobs.

Bhargava made the statement at a virtual meeting of the employment group.

Bhargava further said that effective steps were being taken to counter the impact of corona curfew on employment and self-employment sectors.

He said that action had already started under Atma-Nirbhar Madhya Pradesh.

The migrant labour portal was started by the Labour Department only after the first wave of Covid-19. Along with this, labour laws have also been simplified by starting Rozgar Setu Portal from June 2021.

To help the small businessmen residing in rural areas, the Panchayat and Rural Development Department has arranged for e-commerce platform for traditional products and on-line marketing of materials produced by self-help groups.

Single window, digital lockers portal and artificial intelligence are being promoted by the Department of Information Technology.

Action was taken to include hospitality course in Tourism Institute for employment generation through tourism.
