Bhopal: Very shortly the honorarium of temple pujaris will be increased and making premises of religious places encroachment free in coming weeks. According to political experts, Congress have started walking on the soft Hundutava path to appease the Hindus as well as the Sadhu Saint and others.

The Congress government will start and handover many programmes and schemes as mentioned in their Vachan Patra, before the Lok Sabha election to get the mileage in the elections. As part of its 12-point promises on religious endowment and trust made in the assembly poll Vachan Patra, the Kamal Nath government has already established a spirituality department by merging the erstwhile government’s much-hyped happiness and religious trust and endowment departments. Sources informed that the honorarium of the pujaries and sevadars will be increased, the file is pending with the religious affair minister PC Sharma.

According to sources a proposal to form the Maa Narmada Trust and also to give the status to the three rivers Narmada, Tapti, Shipra and Mandakni as a living entity status is also being prepared. The proposal will be presented in the cabinet for the approval. However, there is no clarity as yet on when the blueprint for constructing the Ram Van Gaman Path — walking track from Chitrakoot to Bundelkhand and Mahakoshal regions of MP – on the route through which Lord Ram, Sita and Laxman are believed to have travelled during their exile period will actually be drawn.

The work of Path is been hold by the cultural department and it is not transferred to the new spiritual department. Whereas it is claimed that the proposal is in the final stage and after getting the sanctioned from the finance department it will be presented in the cabinet.

The directorate of religious trusts and endowments, pilgrimage and fair authority, directorate of mukhya mantri teerth-darshan yojana and rajya anand sansthan working till now have also been included in the new department. The new department aims to strengthen inter-communal harmony in the state covering all religions, sects and faiths. The department also aims at getting inspiration from various religious leaders on subjects like gau-vansh protection, creative use of strength of saints, proper management of Public Trust, religious fairs, pilgrimages, etc.
