Bhopal: ‘Identify sporting talents, arrange facilities for them’

BHOPAL: The district-level sports officers should work sincerely for identifying sporting talents and nurturing them by providing them proper facilities. This was stated by state youth welfare and sports minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia while addressing the review meeting of the department at Major Dhyanchand Hall of TT Nagar Stadium here on Wednesday.

The minister conducted a detailed review of the execution of the various departmental schemes. She issued necessary instructions regarding the preparations for the ‘Ma Tujhe Pranam’ scheme and renewal of the contracts of coaches. Director Sports Upendra Jain, joint director Vinod Pradhan, deputy director BS Yadav and district sports officers from all over the state were present at the meeting. The minister said field-level officers should work with dedication, the quality of construction works should be ensured and there should be no compromise with the facilities for sportspersons.
