Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The heritage hotel housed in the 126-year-old Sadar Manzil in the city is all set to welcome guests of Global Investors Summit (GIS) in Nawabi style. About 50 special guests will be put up in the heritage hotel from February 23-25. The summit to be held at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya from February 25-26 will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Built by Nawab Shah Jahan Begum in 1898, the Sadar Manzil is spread over 52,000 square feet. The hotel has 22 rooms, one suite, gym, swimming pool, restaurant, bars and library. All the front office staff of the hotel will be women as the building was built by women rulers. A dedicated butler will be available for 24-hour service in every room.

Guests will be welcomed with flowers and welcome drinks at Pehredar Darwaza. Customised vegetarian food including traditional dishes of Bhopal will be served in breakfast at Diwan-e-Khas restaurant. A storytelling session, kissagoyi, will be held in the evening in which the story of Sadar Manzil and Bhopal will be narrated by city historians to guests. Director, RDB Bhopal Hospitality Private Limited, Vinod Raghuvanshi told Free Press that the heritage hotel was ready to welcome the GIS guests.
He said that all the rooms had been booked for the summit by MP State Tourism Development Corporation Limited on February 23, 24 and 25. “We feel proud to provide our service for such a big event. Guests will be treated in a royal style,” he said, adding that the formal inauguration of the hotel would be held in March. The Smart City Development Corporation has leased the heritage building to RDB Bhopal Hospitality Private Limited for 30 years. It is being run by Kolkata's Atmosphere Core Company. The building was once the headquarters of Bhopal Municipal Corporation.
