BHOPAL: Highlighting the tragedy of old age people and losing human sensitivity among youth a Hindi play ‘Trasadi’ was staged at Tribal Museum on Friday under a weekly series programme ‘Abhinayan’.
Based on original story of Manish Soni, the play was directed by noted theatre and film actor Saroj Sharma and presented by Koshish Natya Sanstha. The play highlights how youth has lost human sensitivity in fulfilling their unlimited requirements nowadays in busiest daily routine by three different stories of family.
The play begins with saga of gas victim Sharda. She is suffering and due to this her son Sunil and daughter-in-law Trijya don’t allow to attend birth ceremony of her grand son Rishi. She requests for attending the party and the issue becomes a central discussion among guests who are present on the occasion. At the end, Sunil leaves his mother in old age home at the instance of his wife. The pathetic saga a differently-abled girl who lost her family during Bhopal gas tragedy also showcased in the play. A poem ‘3 December 1984 ki Kali Syahi’, composed by Vivek Savrikar and sufi song ‘Jeevan Kab Sach Hai’ were used in an effective manner in the play.
