BHOPAL: A delegation of Madhya Pradesh Guest Scholars Association met Member of Parliament Rodmal Nagar on Wednesday and sought his intervention in securing their job. Meanwhile, another delegation met senior BJP leader Rajendra Shukla and demanded the same.
Members of the delegation said that they approached Nagar and urged him to raise their issue with party top brass and in Parliament. Most of the scholars were from Rajgarh and nearby areas.
ìWe had been working even during the time of Covid pandemic on low salaries and inhuman working conditions,î said Namita Jain. There are large numbers of guest scholars who havenít been given appointment after falling out after the appointments of regular faculty, she added.
Another delegation met senior BJP leader and former minister Rajendra Shukla in Rewa. Spokesperson of the guest scholar association, Ashish Pandey said that they reminded him of the promises made by the BJP leaders including Shivraj Singh Chouhan during their protest at the Shahjehani Park.
Spokesperson Pandey said that Rajendra Shukla have assured them that he will talk to Chouhan and try to resolve the matter.
