The results of JEE Main 2022 were announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday. Though the results were to be declared on Sunday, they were delayed by 24 hours.
Eighteen-year-old Dhruv told the Free Press that he could not sleep as the result came late in the night at around 1.20 am. “It was my first attempt. My preparation was good and I was expecting a good result” said Dhruv, who has been attending coaching classes at FITZEE for the past four years.
He said that consistency is his success mantra and he devoted 10-11 hours to studies every day. “The curriculum for the examination is very long and vast. I started my preparations when I was in class 9, though at the time my focus was on science and maths Olympiads,” he said. He shifted his focus entirely to JEE when he was in Class 11. Dhruv had also cleared NTSE (National Talent Search Examination). “Mock tests are important as they enable one to understand the nature of the examination,” he said.
Dhruv who lives in Gulmohar, Bhopal is a student of Gyan Ganga International Academy. He took the Class 12 CBSE examination this year and is waiting for the result. His father Ravindra Kumar Agrawal works for the MP Electricity Board and mother Babita Agrawal is a homemaker. Besides his hard work, he gives credit for his success to his presents and teachers.
Dhruv doesn't use social media except Whatsapp to save time. “I use Whatsapp only for accessing study-related content. Online classes help save time,” he said.
