Bhopal: Public relations minister PC Sharma has said that construction work of cricket stadium near Bhopal would begin soon. He made this remark after inspecting the land at Barkhera Nathu, near Bhopal on Tuesday for the construction of stadium for International Cricket match.
He said the construction work would be done in phases. Sharma expects director sports and youth welfare would prepare a detailed project report (DPR) of the stadium in a month. He said he would once again jointly inspect the construction site with Sports minister Jitu Patwari to finalise administrative action.
Minister Sharma assured the residents that local people would be provided employment in the construction of the stadium and it would also lead to fast development of the area. He said a sports complex would also be constructed in village Barkheda Nathu. Bhopal collector Dr Sudaam Khade, MPCA member Aruneshwar Singhdeo and corporator Yogendra Singh Chouhan were present on the occasion.
