BHOPAL: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the state has created a precedent for the country in tackling the pandemic with peopleís cooperation.
According to Chouhan, the virus could be arrested because of the work done by the crisis management committees and the peopleís cooperation with the administrations in villages, wards, cities and in districts.
Chouhan has further said that ëMein Corona Volunteer Campaigní has also been an integral part of the system that worked tirelessly to bring the disease under control.
Chouhan who was virtually addressing the corona volunteers and members of Jan Abhiyan Parishad from Mantralay on Wednesday said that there were 1,19,000 volunteers in the state.
All the corona volunteers will be honoured with certificates on August 15 and January 26, he said.
Chouhan said that the way the volunteers had worked round the clock to help the sufferers highly impressed him.
The message of all religions is that the needy should be helped, he added.
To tackle the third wave of the pandemic, people should be connected with the campaign, he said.
He has appealed to NCC, NSS cadets and youths to become corona volunteers.
Nevertheless, as the virus has not yet died, the work of the volunteers will continue, Chouhan said.
They have to inform people about how to follow the corona protocols to keep any disaster at bay, he said.
