BHOPAL : America’s Grand Master has taken a lead with 6.5 numbers after seventh round of Madhya Pradesh International Grand Master Chess Tournament here on Monday. The winning prize of 10 lakhs would be awarded to the winner in the tournament.
On Monday, four different games were played on four different tables in the seventh round. American player Timur Gareyev defeated Alberto David of Italy on first table in the 37 move. Match between Russian Rojum Ivan and Khusenkhojev of Tajakistan was drawn after 37 moves on the second table.
Girish Kaushik of India has drawn the match in 72 moves with Vietnamese Dukh ho on the third table after loosing grip on the match. On fourth table Indian player Arjun Argashi has drawn the match with Turkish Player Suat Atalik in a defensive match ended in just nine moves.
Indian Players Himanshu’s win over Bala Chandra and Rahul Snagma’s on Australian Alexander Whole has kept the Indian hope alive.
Both these player are jointly on second spot trailing just by 0.5 of American Timur.
