Bhopal: BJP seeks NIA probe against Digvijaya Singh, latter says illiterate can’t understand difference between ‘Shall’ and ‘Consider’

State BJP president VD Sharma said the National Investigation (NIA) should investigate the phone calls of Digvijay Singh and take action accordingly.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Lambasting Digvijaya Singh for his alleged comment that his party will relook the revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh state BJP president VD Sharma sought NIA probe into Singh’s activities.

Talking to journalists here in Bhopal on Saturday, Sharma said the National Investigation (NIA) should investigate the phone calls of Digvijay Singh and take action accordingly.

“NIA should investigate his (Digvijaya Singh) activities. The involvement of Pakistan’s journalist should also be probed. I will write a letter to the union home minister in this regard,” Sharma said. He further said that Singh has made a fashion of attacking the sovereignty of the country for vote bank politics.

Notably, BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya had shared an alleged audio clip of veteran congress leader on his twitter page on Saturday.

"The decision of Revoking article 370 and reducing statehood of j&k (Jammu and Kashmir) is an extremely sad decision and the Congress party would certainly have to have a re-look on the decision,” Digvijaya Singh is allegedly heard saying in the audio chat. He was reportedly replying to a question asked by a Pakistan origin journalist during a clubhouse chat.

Earlier reacting to Singh's remarks, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had said that Kashmir is the crown jewel of India. It was Congress, which committed the sin of imposing Article 370 in Kashmir, Chouhan said adding, “Congress ka haath, Pakistan ke sath.”
