Bhopal: The Bhopal City Link Limited (BCLL) on Wednesday launched an app ‘Chalo’ informing bus commuters of the real time transit data thus helping them save time and avoid inconvenience. The app will enable the commuters to track the exact location of the bus on their mobile phones.
The passengers will no longer have to wait long at bus stands as the app will enable them to know the exact location of the bus and time it would take to reach the destination. It enables users to track their buses live on a map, know their bus’s arrival time at their bus stop.
The app will also help the commuters check the shortest route to their destination. The app is likely to save around 40 minutes of commuters who are regularly boarding the bus twice in a day. BCLL CEO Chandramauli Shukla said that the app will not only save the travel time of commuters but will also help reduce the traffic congestion on the roads.
‘Chalo’ is a free mobile app developed by Zophop Technologies Private Limited, a technology-driven transport solutions company that aims to make travel better for everyone. The app has been developed specifically for travellers who rely on buses, trains and other forms of public transport to get around their city.
