Bhopal: 24-year-old woman found hanging, suicide suspected

Police said the woman was engaged two years ago and was planning to marry next year.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 24-year-old woman was found hanging at home on Sunday morning.

The woman identified as Nisha Parmar, was living with her brother at Sahara Estate under Misrod Police station area. She was pursuing B.Ed course in Bhopal. Her parents live in Raisen district.

The Misrod police said the woman was engaged two years ago and was planning to marry next year. The girl went to bed around midnight on Saturday night and, in the morning, when her brother, Nitin, woke up at 9 am, he found her hanging from a rod. He alerted the neighbours and she was brought down. The woman was then taken to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.

The hospital management informed the police and a case was registered. The Misrod police have yet to record the statements of her family members. The woman had not left any suicide note behind, said ASI
