Bhopal: 2-day Passport Adalat from August 3

Nearly 500 pending cases to be resolved

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Regional Passport Office, Bhopal is going to hold a two-day Passport Adalat from August 3 for the pending passport files from January 21 to December 21.

Regional Passport Officer, Rashmi Baghel said the passport adalat would be conducted in two batches on August 3. Action would be taken on pending cases of 18 Post Office Passport Seva Kendras of the state from 10 am to 1 pm and Passport Seva Kendras Bhopal as well as Indore from 2 pm to 5 pm. Action would be taken on pending cases of applicants of Bhopal and Indore from 10 am to 1 pm on August 4.

She further said that more than 500 pending cases would be resolved, which were pending due to court cases, insufficient documents, etc., in the two-day event. In these cases, sufficient opportunities had been provided to the applicants by issuing show-cause notices.

Through this passport adalat, they are being provided an additional opportunity for the disposal of their pending passport applications and letters are being sent to the applicants through speed post and email in this regard, Baghel added.
