Youth did not know swimming but jumped into the deep water despite warning

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): An 18-year-old Industrial Training Institute student drowned in Kerwa Dam while taking bath on Saturday evening. His body was fished out on Sunday and was handed over to family after post-mortem, police said.

According to reports, The deceased is indentified as Aman Vishwakarma a resident of Ayodhya Nagar, he was an Industrial Training Institute student at a private college. On Friday evening, Aman and his friends went to Kerwa Dam.

Youth didn't know swimming and dived into deep water

According to the police report, Aman's friends informed the police that he did not know swimming but jumped into the deep water despite their warning. They told police that Aman assumed that the water at the spot was shallow. However, he straight away went inside the deep water. Aman’s friends claimed that they tried to take him out by making a rope with their clothes but failed.

Sub Inspector Gabbar Singh at Ratibadh police station said Aman and his friends did not know swimming. Further investigations are underway.

Trader drowns in Upper Lake as he tests swimming skills

A 51-year-old auto parts trader died while taking a bath in Upper Lake under Shyamla Hills police station on Sunday morning. The trader and his wife visited Sheetaldas ki Bagia for a stroll where the trader entered water to test his swimming skills. The trader’s body was found by divers and was sent to the mortuary, police said.

According to reports, Green Park Colony resident, Rajesh Jain (51) ran an auto parts shop on Berasia Road. Police investigations revealed that Rajesh was learning swimming at a pool on Idgah Hills but was still an amateur.

At 9.30 am on Sunday, Rajesh and his wife went to Sheetaldas ki Bagia on the banks of Upper Lake. His wife informed police that Rajesh entered water and then disappeared following which she raised an alarm. She also called their relatives to the spot. Police reached the spot with divers and launched a search for the trader. The body was found floating in the water after an hour. Police officials said that Rajesh’s son was studying in Jaipur while his daughter was pursuing graduation in Bhopal.
