Nagda : Bhumi Pujan ceremony of main rising water pipeline which comes under Municipal Council’s much awaited Water augmentation scheme in which all the water tanks of the city will be connected through this pipeline was organised on Sunday at Shree Mukhteshwar Mahadev Temple situated at Chambal bank. Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Thawar Chands Gehlot was the chief guest of the ceremony and did the bhumi pujan of the pipeline.
Local MLA Dilip Singh Shekhawat, Aalot’s MLA Jitendra Gehlot and Shyam Bansal were the distinguished guests of the ceremony. Ex-MLA Lal Singh Ranawat, Dr Tej Bahadur Singh Chauhan, Sajjan Singh Shekhawat and Vice-president of District Panchayat Ram Singh Jadon were the special guests of the ceremony. The ceremony was headed by Municipal Chairman Shobha Gopal Yadav.
Minister Gehlot on addressing the ceremony gave various informations about the water augmentation scheme and congratulated Municipal Chairman, Councilors, Officers and Employees for this scheme. He also said that the promises done by the BJP in its manifesto has been completed by it. Chairman Yadav said that today is the day for which the city’s people have waited for such a long time. The Council has formed this scheme and got it passed by the government in quick time. She also said that the goal is to complete this scheme by the end of the year so the citizens can have its benefits.
MLA Shekhawat also addressed the ceremony. Chairman of Water Working Committee Rajesh Dhakad conducted the ceremony and vote of thanks was done by Councilor Rajesh Paal.
