BHOPAL: Various tribal dances like karma, Bhagoriya, Dahka, Saila were presented by artistes of different tribal communities here on Wednesday- the second day of three-day programme ‘Dharohar’ Tuesday at Tribal Museum. Their energetic performance delighted the audience a lot.
The programme began with ‘Dodbali’ a ritual of Korkoo tribes. Generally, the ritual is celebrated in Jyeshtha month by young boys and girls. Informing about the ritual, artists presented some songs. It was followed with tribal dances of different tribal communities which mesmerise the audience a lot. These were Karama and Saila dance by Gond tribes, Doha and Bahgoriya by Bheel, Dev Dussehra by Korkoo, Karma by Baiga, Saitam by Bhariya and Dahka by Kol. Besides the cultural performances, the food festival and swings were other major attractions of the festival. People are enjoying the foods items of Rajasthan, Awadh and Bhils under the fest. These items are basket chat, dahi-puri, aaloo-tikki, matar-chat, ‘pani-puri, kulfi, gulabjamun, dal-bati jodhpuri mirchi bada, khoya ghevar, pyaz and mung dal kachuri et al. The programme is being organised by Tribal museum to mark International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples. (FPNS)
Tulsi Parva
Besides, ‘Tulsi Parv’ was also organised here to mark the birth anniversary of Tulsidas. On the occasion ‘Ram Satta gayan’ was presented by the troupe of Shivnarayan Rajput, Shaitan singh Ramdin, Ramanand and Vikas Shulka which enjoyed the audience a lot. Generally the gayan is presented in Sawan month in Nimad region.
