BHOPAL : Taking action against quack doctors in the state capital, a team of Department of Ayush raided a clinic of Dr RK Khare in Trilanga on Saturday.

Dr Ashish Pandey, national spokesman Ayush Doctors Association, said, “Dr RK Khare does not have any degree and was running a clinic in Trilanga. Local public reported the matter to Ayush department who carried on raid.

Registrar Ayurveda, Unani Board Vandana Borana said, “If anyone wants to run any medical clinic, he or she must have a degree. Earlier, despite having a popular following, we visited clinic of Dr RK Singh, who could not show any degree.”

“When we learnt that there was a bee line of patients in Dr RK Khare’s clinic. We conducted an investigation but he failed to show any relevant degree. We took the matter to the police who arrested him. The department is very strict against quacks, ” she added.

The department lodged a complaint with Shahpura police against Dr Khare stating that he runs clinic for paralytic patients and people who suffer from muscular problems.

According to locals, mostly paralytic patients visited his clinic for treatment. Dr Khare used to charge Rs500 per visit.

However for treatment and medicines he would charge between Rs 1500 and Rs 2000 from patients. Dr Khare would distribute medicines by checking pulse and muscles of paralytic patients. He claimed that his treatment was based on physiotherapy

“The Ayush department has done the right thing as quacks take benefit of the situation. Dr Khare was running clinic for long time,” added Pandey.
