Astha (Madhya Pradesh): The encroachments on busy roads of the city by street vendors and at bus stands by shopkeepers cause inconvenience to all the residents.

Taking cognisance of repeated complaints, Astha municipality CMO Nandkishore Parsaniya on Saturday gave an ultimatum and asked the encroachers to remove encroachments failing which strict action will be taken against them.

Most encroachments were made by shopkeepers of the municipality complex at bus stand who are so fearless that they have occupied the space by putting the goods of their shops on the roads. On Monday, Municipality's CMO Nandkishore Parsania along with his subordinates reached the bus stand and warned the shopkeepers to keep the goods of their shops inside the shops otherwise he will get them removed from the JCB.

There were push carts which had illegally occupied the platform areas causing inconvenience to passengers and pedestrians.
