Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Anmol-2 app, launched to improve maternal healthcare tracking and ensure benefits reach pregnant women, is currently not functioning in Madhya Pradesh. As a result, many pregnant women are not being tracked, and payments under schemes like Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) are not being made.

Due to the app’s failure, data of pregnant women is not being uploaded, leaving beneficiaries deprived of essential medical services and financial support. The app was intended to streamline data management and ensure timely delivery of antenatal, postnatal, and delivery services, as well as immunizations for children.

National Health Mission (NHM) officials attribute the issue to the app being based on the Samagra ID system, which they say is causing difficulties in syncing with Aadhaar-linked bank accounts used for direct benefit transfers.

MP Health Workers Association president Jitendra Bhadoria said, “As the Anmol app is not working, neither Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) nor pregnant women are receiving benefits of various health schemes like JSY payments.”

NHM Director Dr Saloni Sadana told Free Press, “There is no issue in the app itself. The problem is due to the Anmol-2 app being based on Samagra ID. It’s an integrated system to track pregnant women, and payments are being made directly to Aadhaar-linked accounts of the beneficiaries.”

The Anmol 2.0 app and web portal were launched by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on World Health Day (April 7, 2025) in Bhopal as part of the Maternal and Child Sanjeevan Mission. The initiative aims to improve maternal and child health outcomes in the state through real-time monitoring of services and financial inclusion.
