Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Nine young men from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan were duped of ₹38 lakh in a fake BSF job scam.
According to information, fraudsters promised them recruitment without exams, leading families to sell homes and jewelry to secure their sons' futures.
But when the police arrived, their dreams collapsed.
The youths paid middlemen (solvers) to take the BSF recruitment exam on their behalf. After clearing the selection process, they reached the BSF training center in Tekanpur, Gwalior, but were caught.
The candidates had paid amounts ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹8 lakh in advance, with the remaining amount to be paid after joining.
Authorities are actively investigating the scam, with a police team deployed to Chhattisgarh to track down the fraudsters. The arrested individuals, all between 20 and 25 years old, are expected to be placed in judicial custody soon. With criminal charges now registered against them, their eligibility for government employment is effectively revoked.
The fraudulent scheme required each candidate to pay ₹14 lakh for a guaranteed BSF position. While some paid an initial deposit, the remaining amount was to be deducted from their salaries post-recruitment.
The scam’s organisers managed the fabrication of appointment letters and other documents, ultimately deceiving both the candidates and their families.
