7 Youths Arrested For Raping Three Girls, Including 2 Minors In MP's Balaghat

The girls together with the relatives went to the police station and lodged a complaint about the incident on Friday.

Balaghat (Madhya Pradesh): Seven youths raped four girls, including three minors, in the Hatta area of Balaghat district late Wednesday evening.

The girls together with the relatives went to the police station and lodged a complaint about the incident on Friday.

The police arrested all the culprits identified as Lokesh Matre, Lalchand Khare, Ajendra Bahe, Ajju Bagdate, Rajendra Kawre, and Maniram Bahe. One of the culprits was a minor.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the four girls were returning home with their uncle after attending a wedding ceremony in another village late Wednesday evening.

On the way, four bikers waylaid them. The youths terrorised the uncle and shooed him away from the spot.

Then they raped the girls. The youths also threatened the girls with dire consequences.

Immediately after the incident, superintendent of police Nagendra Singh set up a team under police station of Hatta, Avinash Singh Rathore.

The team swung into action and arrested all the culprits within three hours of the complaint.

The police presented them before the court. Singh appealed to people to inform such cases to the police without fear.
