Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A 43-year-old woman allegedly eloped with her lover, leaving behind her two kids in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur, police said on Sunday.

She also took cash and gold and silver jewellery from the house before leaving.

The incident is from Ramtauria area under Bamnaura police outpost of Baramala police station has reportedly run away with her lover, leaving behind her two children.

The woman’s husband, Munna Namdev, works as a labourer in Morbi city of Gujarat to support his elderly parents and children.

His wife, Maya Namdev, used to stay at home with their son and daughter. After learning that his wife had gone missing, Munna returned to his village and filed a complaint at the local police outpost.

In his complaint, he alleged that his wife took cash and gold and silver jewellery from the house before leaving.

Munna said he got married in 2001 and has two children, a boy and a girl. He has been working outside the state to support the family. Around one to one-and-a-half months ago, his wife left the children behind and ran away with her lover.

He also claimed that his wife was in a relationship with another man and used to talk to someone on the phone for hours. When his son informed him about this, he questioned his wife, after which she disappeared.

Munna has requested the police to take proper action. Based on his complaint, Ramtauria police outpost has registered a case and begun an investigation.
