Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): An accident occurred on the Bhopal-Berasia road near Ratua on Tuesday night killing a 4-year-old girl. A truck hit a bike carrying a father and his daughter. The father is in critical condition and is receiving treatment.
The family had stopped at a roadside dhaba to have tea and water. They were returning to Bairasia after celebrating Eid at a relative’s home in Sehore. The father and daughter were seated on the bike while the mother had dismounted to drink water. Suddenly, a truck coming from the direction of Bairasia struck the bike at the roadside.
According to information, the victim child has been identified as 4-year-old Aamna Ali. Reports indicate that the incident took place while the family was on their return journey. The father, who runs a garment shop in Bairasia, was riding with his daughter when the accident occurred. The 4-year-old had recently started nursery school, according to relatives.
Local police from the Gunga jurisdiction are investigating the case. They have launched a search for the truck driver involved in the accident. On Wednesday morning, the body of the young girl was taken for post-mortem at Hamidia Hospital. The police continue to work on the case as they gather more evidence.
