4-Feet Long Crocodile Spotted Roaming In Jabalpur’s Residential Colony, Residents Panic |

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A crocodile was spotted on the streets of a residential colony in Jabalpur. The incident occurred in Chaitanya City located in the Tilhari area where a nearly 4 feet long crocodile was seen crawling at the roadside near a waterlogged area. A passerby quickly captured the scene on his mobile camera which sparked fear among the public.

The appearance of the reptile is believed to be due to the ongoing monsoon rains which have raised the water levels in nearby rivers and streams. Jabalpur is the home of Narmada River and its many tributaries which have served as natural habitats for crocodile species for centuries. With increasing rainfall and overflowing water bodies these creatures are now coming close to human residents.

Local residents have expressed shock and concern as the colony is a densely populated area. Such sights are becoming frequent during the rainy season. The authorities are on alert and they urge residents not to approach wild animals and to inform forest or rescue teams immediately.

This has raised questions about the need for preparation in city areas near water bodies.

Another Croc spotted in Ashoknagar

Similarly, on Monday, a six-feet long crocodile was spotted in a residential area in Ashoknagar. Panicked, locals informed forest department and a team was sent to rescue the wild reptile.
