Zypp Electric, a key player in India’s EV-as-a-service sector, has unveiled plans to expand its fleet with 100,000 electric two-wheelers over the next 12 to 18 months. This ambitious move is backed by its partnership with Indofast Energy, a joint venture between IndianOil and SUN Mobility. Having already deployed over 10,000 EVs using Indofast Energy’s battery-swapping network, Zypp aims to scale its operations further across multiple cities. The expansion is expected to enhance last-mile logistics efficiency while promoting wider EV adoption in the country.

Zypp Electric is pushing forward with its goal of achieving full electrification by 2028, with a large-scale fleet expansion playing a key role in this transition. The company plans to grow its fleet from 20,000 to 100,000 electric two-wheelers in the next 12 to 18 months, with a long-term target of deploying 500,000 EVs over the next three to four years. This strategic move is expected to accelerate EV adoption in India while strengthening sustainable and efficient last-mile delivery solutions.

Zypp Electric's expanded fleet of 100,000 electric two-wheelers will be deployed across key cities like Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Lucknow, and Jaipur, enhancing last-mile delivery efficiency. Partnering with Indofast Energy, the company will leverage an advanced battery-swapping network, allowing riders to swap batteries in just 60 seconds, eliminating long charging times. In cities like Delhi NCR and Bengaluru, swap stations are strategically placed every 1.5 km, ensuring uninterrupted operations. This initiative aims to boost productivity for delivery partners while making urban mobility more seamless and sustainable.
