Maruti Suzuki’s Made-in-India Jimny 5-Door has officially been unveiled in Japan, marking a significant milestone for the brand’s global presence. First showcased at Auto Expo 2023, the off-roader is exclusively built at Maruti Suzuki’s Gurugram facility and stands as the company’s second most-exported model for FY 2024-25.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-Door is already shipped to nearly 100 countries. Its arrival in Japan is a notable achievement, making it the second SUV after the Fronx to be exported to Suzuki’s home market this fiscal year.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, "The introduction of the ‘Made in India’ Jimny 5-Door in Japan reflects the global excellence of our manufacturing capabilities. It is our second model to be exported to Japan this fiscal year (FY 2024-25), following the Fronx in August 2024. Jimny stands as the second most exported Maruti Suzuki car in FY 2024-25. After achieving tremendous success in markets such as Mexico, Australia, and South Africa, we are confident that it will also appeal to customers in Japan. The export of Jimny reinforces our commitment to ‘Make-in-India for the world’.”

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is available in seven color options, including both monotone and dual-tone choices. The dual-tone variants, Kinetic Yellow with a Black Roof and Sizzling Red with a Black Roof, add a striking contrast. The monotone palette consists of Pearl Arctic White, Bluish Black, Granite Grey, Sizzling Red, and Nexa Blue, offering a diverse range for buyers to choose from.

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-Door is equipped with a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine, producing 103bhp at 6,000rpm and 134Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. It comes with a choice of two transmission options – a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic. Both variants feature Maruti Suzuki's AllGrip Pro 4WD system, providing impressive off-road performance.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-Door is packed with features, including cruise control, a touchscreen infotainment system, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also offers automatic climate control, ABS with EBD, a limited-slip differential (LSD), a rear-view camera, and six airbags, combining convenience with enhanced safety for passengers.
