Pia Benegal is an acclaimed costume designer, aspiring producer and visual storyteller with over three decades of experience across film, television and theatre. Since 1991, she has contributed to landmark projects including Zubeidaa, Mammo, Dil Se, Aligarh, Bose: The Forgotten Hero, Welcome to Sajjanpur and Well Done Abba. Known for her authenticity, period detail and nuanced understanding of character, Pia has collaborated with leading filmmakers including Shyam Benegal, Hansal Mehta, Mani Ratnam and Govind Nihalani. She also designed costumes for the BBC Four docudrama Last Days of the Raj, a BAFTA Best Costume Design finalist.
