He is a versatile actor who believes in delivering performances worth remembering. Vijayendra Kumeria of Colors’ popular Udann talks to Dhrithi Sudhakar Gulvadi about his journey in the show, finite series, daily soaps and more…

How is fatherhood treating you?
It’s lovely and it’s awesome. It’s a new feeling which can’t be described in words but, it’s the best feeling in life.
What do you do in between shots?
We generally do not get a lot of time, but in between the shots, I try to take a quick nap. We all are big foodies on the sets. We keep ordering healthy food.
What is your favourite destination spot?
I like Europe. I’ve been to London a lot of times. I like that place.
Are you happy with Udann’s journey up until now?
Mine was a negative role previously and now slowly and gradually it is turning into a positive character. I’m very happy with this one because I got a lot to do in this and as an actor, it is very satisfying to do different things. It’s not on the same graph. The graph of the character has been up and down and hence it has been very nice.
Do you think the audience connects with finite television series more than daily soaps?
I definitely wish to do a finite television series because the start and the end of the story are known, whereas in daily soaps, every week they do a lot of research and TRPs are taken into consideration. They twist and turn the story, but both, the finite series and daily soaps are good. If a show is running, then it’s indeed good for the actor. Finite series are much better because one knows what and how the climax is going to be and one can prepare the graph of the character.

Which shows that are presently running on television would you like to be part of in the future?I have watched shows on the Zindagi channel though the TRPs aren’t that great, but the serials are very good. As we were talking about finite series, they’ve got finite series and good material and I’d like to do something similar but if I talk about one show,then on Star Plus the show named P.O.W Bandi Yuddh Ke seems to be a good show and I’d like to do something similar.
