Indore : Three direct flights will be launched from city to Hyderabad and Kolkata from October 1. This will include two flights to Hyderabad and one to Kolkata.
To be launched by Air Asia, the process to clear the flight launch is underway by Airport Authority of India and Bureau of Civil Aviation Safety. The flight schedule is yet to be released. However, two flights for Hyderabad would start at around 12.30 pm and 3 pm while Kolkata flight would also be in afternoon.
After launch of Air Asia’s flights, there will be five flights for Kolkata out of which two will be via Raipur (IndiGo) and four direct flights by IndiGo, Jet Airways and Air Asia.
Similarly, there will be six flights for Hyderabad. At present, IndiGo operates three flights while Jet Airways operates one flight. Air Asia would deploy a 180-seater Airbus A-320 aircraft for all three flights.

Air Asia launched Goa and Bengaluru flights from city from March 17.
Air Asia will launch direct flights for Hyderabad and Kolkata from October 1. Suggestion is given to Air Asia to extend one Hyderabad flight to Kochi.
