IRCTC fails to update software for ticket booking

Trains will be flagged off by MoS today at city railway station

Indore : After a delay 10 months, train movement on 22-km Indore-Mhow section would resume from Tuesday. However, IRCTC failed to update its software for ticket booking for the two trains, which would be flagged off by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and MoS Railways Manoj Sinha, on Tuesday at city railway station.

Sources said that the IRCTC could not update software for ticket booking system of two trains— Indore-Kochuveli and Indore-Pune— till Monday night (9.30pm). These two trains will be flagged off by Mahajan and Sinha on Tuesday at 5pm at city railway station.

It means on day one, both the trains will run with few passengers.

However, after a gap of 16 months, train commuters would get train service on this section. Though, six months time was given for gauge conversion, it took over 16 months.
