IND vs PAK, CWC 2023: 4 Arrested In Navi Mumbai's Ulwe For Betting On High-Profile World Cup Clash
A case has been registered against the accused at the NRI Police station, and the Crime Branch is currently conducting further investigations, suspecting the involvement of an inter-state betting syndicate.

Navi Mumbai: Four persons were arrested in Ulwe by the Crime Branch of Navi Mumbai police on Saturday for their alleged involvement in betting activities during the 13th ICC Men's Cricket World Cup match between India and Pakistan.
During the operation, the police seized 23 mobile phones, three laptops, one television, SIM cards, and other equipment associated with these illegal betting operations.

Acting on intelligence received by Senior Police Inspector Manik Nalavade of the Crime Branch and operating under the guidance of Amit Kale, DCP (Crime), a raid was carried out at Vishwa Siona building in Wahal Village, Sector 23, Ulwe node, Navi Mumbai.
According to the police, the four suspects were engaged in bookmaking activities through mobile phones and laptops in apartment number 401 of the aforementioned building on the day of the India-Pakistan match. An official from the Crime Branch disclosed, "They were using betting applications on their mobile devices and laptops with a combined value of Rs 5.14 lakhs.”
Identities of the bookies
The arrested individuals have been identified as Karan Jadhav, Rakesh Kondre, Atul Balghat, and Manish Chawla, all hailing from Pune.
