Mumbai News: 27-Year-Old Woman Drowns To Death Near Bandra Fort, Body Recovered
According to the information received from BMC's Disaster cell, the deceased woman was identified as Jyoti Sonar.

Mumbai: A 27-year-old woman drowned to death in the sea near Bandra Fort on Sunday evening. The body of the woman was recovered following a search operation by the Mumbai Fire Brigade launched late on Sunday night. The incident took place at 5.12 pm. According to the information received from BMC's Disaster cell, the woman is identified as Jyoti Sonar and was pronounced brought dead on arrival by the hospital.
"She was standing on the rock to take a picture but was washed away by the waves. Her family who accompanied her raised the alarm. The Mumbai Fire Brigade officials immediately rushed to the spot and started the rescue operations," said sources from Bandra police station.
Navi Mumbai drowning incident
A 14-year-old boy had died after drowning in a pond, located along the Palm Beach Road in Ghansoli, on Saturday (July 2) afternoon. Accompanied by his younger brother and a friend, he had alone ventured into the water for fun, however, he could not gauge the depth of the pond, said the police. The deceased was a resident of Gharonda in Ghansoli.
Juhu drowning incident
In a heartbreaking incident, four out of the five boys who had gone missing on Juhu Beach were found dead in June. The incident unfolded between 4:30 pm and 5 pm on Monday (June 12) as a group of five boys ventured into the sea from the Juhu Koliwada side jetty. Despite the lifeguard's attempts to dissuade them by blowing his whistle, the boys disregarded the warning, according to the police.
