Taking to X, the BMC said the civic body operates several social media platforms and had appointed M/s Runtime Solutions Private Limited two years ago through a prescribed tender process to manage them. The agency also provides technical manpower to the civic body, it said.
The BMC further stated that it had proposed extending the agency’s contract for another year, from August 2026 to July 2027, to handle the Municipal Corporation’s social media platforms. The extension has already been approved by the Standing Committee, according to the civic body.
The BMC also confirmed that the Mayor’s office social media page is being handled by the same agency. It also stated that the agency even provides other technical manpower as well.
