CBSE Announces Class 12 Results, Girls Outshine Boys

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the Class 12 results on May 13. The official websites for the CBSE Class 12 results, cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.gov.in, as well as other digital platforms like the UMANG app and DigiLocker website, digilocker.gov.in, are where students can view their results.

Girls have performed 6.40 percentage points better than boys. This year, fifty percent of transgender students pass the exam. It was sixty percent the year before.

West Bengal Records Highest Voter Turnout, J-K Lowest Till 11 AM

As the voting for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha election is underway in 96 constituencies across nine states and one Union Territory, a voter turnout of 24.87 per cent was reported by 11 am.

According to the data issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI), West Bengal recorded the highest voter turnout of 32.78 per cent while Jammu and Kashmir recorded the lowest voter turnout of 14.94 per cent.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh recorded 32.38 per cent, Andhra Pradesh recorded 23.10 per cent, Bihar recorded 22.54 per cent, Jharkhand recorded 27.40 per cent, Odisha recorded 23.28 per cent, Maharashtra recorded 17.51 per cent, Telangana recorded 24.31 per cent, and Uttar Pradesh recorded 27.12 per cent.

10.35 Pc Voter Turnout Recorded Till 9 AM

As the voting for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha election is underway in 96 constituencies, the total voter turnout till 9 am was recorded at 10.35 per cent.

According to the data issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI), West Bengal recorded the highest voter turnout of 15.24 per cent.

Madhya Pradesh recorded 14.97 per cent, Jharkhand recorded 11.78 per cent, Uttar Pradesh recorded 11.67 per cent, Bihar recorded 10.18 per cent, Telangana recorded 9.51 per cent, Andhra Pradesh recorded 9.05 per cent, Odisha recorded 9.23 per cent, Maharashtra recorded 6.45 per cent. The lowest voter turnout was recorded in Jammu and Kashmir at 5.07 per cent

Voting for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections in 96 Parliamentary Constituencies across nine states and one Union Territory began on Monday at 7:00 am.

Bomb Threat To At Least 4 Jaipur Schools

At least four schools in Rajasthan capital Jaipur received bomb threats via email on Monday, police said according to a PTI report. Students and staff members have been evacuated, they said and added that police teams along with bomb and dog squads have reached the schools. "Four-five schools have received bomb threat. Police have reached the schools," Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph said. The threat was given by email and a team is trying to identify the sender, police said.

PM Modi Calls For 'Democracy Duty' As Voting Begins In Fourth Phase

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday morning expressed hope that people will vote in large numbers to strengthen democracy while Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged voters including those in Jammu and Kashmir to reach polling booths in record numbers as polling began for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

Taking to X, PM Modi said, "In today's 4th Phase of the Lok Sabha elections, 96 seats across 10 States and UTs are going to the polls. I am sure people in these constituencies will vote in large numbers and the young voters as well as women voters will power this surge in voting. Come, let's all do our duty and strengthen our democracy!"

Voting Begins For 96 Seats Across 10 States & UT

Voting for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections in 96 Parliamentary Constituencies across nine states and one Union Territory began on Monday at 7:00 am.

Polling for all 175 seats of the State Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh and 28 seats of the State Legislative Assembly of Odisha also started simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls.

Of the 96 Lok Sabha seats, 25 are from Andhra Pradesh, 17 from Telangana, 13 from Uttar Pradesh, 11 from Maharashtra, eight each from Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal, five from Bihar, four each from Jharkhand and Odisha, and one from Jammu and Kashmir.
