Nakuul Mehta & Jankee Parekh Welcome Baby Girl, Share Adorable Announcement Post: 'Sufi Finally Has His Rumi'

Television actor Nakuul Mehta and wife Jankee Parekh Mehta announced the arrival of their baby girl on social media on Sunday. The couple shared photos of their firstborn son, Sufi, holding his baby sister in his arms, and revealed that they have named their daughter, Rumi.

Nakuul took to his Instagram handle on Sunday morning and announced that the little one was born on August 15. He also shared a photo with wife Jankee on the hospital bed post labour, and in another picture, the Ishqbaaz actor can be seen adoring his little one.

"She’s here. Sufi finally has his Rumi. Our hearts are complete. 15th August 2025 (sic)," Nakuul's post read.

He also quoted a few words by Rumi: "Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it".

As soon as Nakuul shared the post, congratulatory wishes poured in for the family, and netizens showered the newborn with love and blessings. Dia Mirza, Anya Singh, Harshdeep Kaur, Gauahar Khan, Mini Mathur, Arjit Taneja, and many other celebs also congratulated the couple.

It was in June this year that Nakuul and Jankee had announced their second pregnancy, four years after welcoming their firstborn, Sufi.

Nakuul and Jankee tied the knot in 2012 in a grand ceremony and welcomed their son, Sufi, in 2021. The couple's initial days with Sufi had not been easy as the little one had to undergo a surgery for bilateral inguinal hernia when he was only two months old.

"I was just amazed at how this boy who needs milk every 2 hours patiently waited for 7 hours in total before getting his feed. The smile on his face after he got milk was just priceless," Jankee had shared post Sufi's surgery.

Nakuul is known for his roles in shows like Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara, Ishqbaaaz and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, among others.
