Veteran actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty reacted to propaganda claims against Dhurandhar 2, saying, "Ab Dhurandhar ko bhi propaganda kehte, toh Dhurandhar ko bhi rok lete na?" He compared it with his film The Bengal Files, which he said wasn’t allowed to be released.

Veteran actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty reacted to Ranveer Singh's recently released film Dhurandhar 2 being labelled as ‘propaganda’. He said his 2025 film The Bengal Files was not allowed to release and added that if his film faced such a situation, then Dhurandhar 2 should also not have been released. He further stated that the ‘propaganda’ claims are being made only after the film's release.

Speaking to IANS, Mithun said, "The Bengal Files korelease hone nahi diya, isse badi kya baat karenge? Ab Dhurandhar ko bhi propaganda kehte, toh Dhurandhar ko bhi rok lete na? Dhurandhar release hui, aur ab aap kehte ho ki propaganda hai. Lekin The Bengal Files ka release tak nahi hone diya. Uske against mein jaake, film ko release tak hone nahi diya Bengal mein. Isse badi dukh ki baat kya ho sakti hai?"

Further, he added that The Bengal Files was based on the Noakhali massacre, which is not a recent event but something that happened before Independence, yet the film was not allowed to release.
'Dhurandhar 2 Ne Saare Records Tod Diye...'
Defending Dhurandhar 2, Mithun shared, "Toh dadagiri, jo bolna hai boliye, lekin Dhurandhar ne saare records tod diye. Itne logon ne picture dekhi hogi tab na. Har sampraday ke logon ne dekhi hai, tareef ki hai, aur do-teen baar dekhne ke baad hi picture ka yeh business hota hai."
