Actor Satish Kaushik passes away in Gurugram at 66

Renowned Bollywood actor and director Satish Chandra Kaushik passed away in the wee hours of Thursday in Gurugram.

He was 66.

Anupam Kher was the first one to share the shocking news of Kaushik's demise with the world.

Kher tweeted a picture of the two and wrote, "I know 'death is the ultimate truth of this world' but never in my dreams had I thought that I would write this thing about my best friend while being alive. A sudden fullstop to our 45 years of friendship! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!"

Satish Kaushik's last rites

As per reports, Kaushik had attended Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi's Holi bash on Wednesday, post which he jetted off to Gurugram to meet a friend.

However, on reaching there, he fell sick and suffered a massive heart attack, and he was rushed to Fortis Hospital, where he breathed his last.

His postmortem will be conducted at Deendayal Hospital after which his mortal remains will be flown down to Mumbai. His last rites will be conducted in the city around 5:30 pm in the presence of his friends and family members.

Born on April 13, 1956, Satish Kaushik worked as an actor, director, producer, comedian, and screenwriter.
