Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, granted interim bail on medical grounds on October 30 in the murder case of 33-year-old fan Renukaswamy, thanked fans for their support. He urged them not to visit him on his birthday due to health issues, stating, "Whenever I take an injection for 15-20 days I will be okay and once its power reduces, the pain starts. I will have to undergo an operation."

Actor Darshan Thanks Fans For Support During Jail Time In Murder Case, Requests No Birthday Visits: 'Can't Stand For Long' (VIDEO) | Photo Via X

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was arrested in June 2024 in connection with the murder of 33-year-old fan Renukaswamy, who had allegedly sent inappropriate messages to his rumoured girlfriend, actress Pavithra Gowda. He was granted interim bail on medical grounds on October 30, 2024, and later received conditional bail on December 13, 2024.

After securing bail, Darshan shared a video on his social media handle, expressing gratitude to his fans for their support during his time in jail in the murder case. "I would like to thank all my beloved celebrities (fans) for their love and support. Should I say Namaskara or thanks? No matter what I say, it won’t be enough. You have shown so much affection towards me, I don’t know how to return it," Darshan said.

Darshan, who will celebrate his birthday on February 16, urged his fans not to visit him, citing health issues and stating that he will not be able to meet them as he can't stand for long. "Whenever I take an injection for 15-20 days I will be okay and once its power reduces, the pain starts. I will have to undergo an operation," he shared.

Further, Darshan assured his fans that he would meet them soon. "I will need to consult my doctors on what to do next. You know about spinal cord problems."

Talking about his future projects, he thanked his producers for waiting for him. "I should not do injustice to them, as they too would have planned other projects. So I’m trying to push myself," he concluded.

On the work front, Darshan will be seen next in the Kannada film Devil: The Hero. The release date is yet to be revealed.
