Mumbai: Premier Energies Ltd. reported a 53 percent year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 471.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with Rs 307.8 crore a year earlier.

Revenue from operations increased to Rs 2,462.6 crore from Rs 1,820.7 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Sequentially, profit improved from Rs 456.8 crore in Q4 FY26 while revenue rose from Rs 2,230.3 crore.

Opening Performance Summary

The company posted consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 2,462.6 crore in Q1 FY27, up from Rs 1,820.7 crore in Q1 FY26, while total income increased to Rs 2,507.6 crore from Rs 1,869.5 crore.

Profit before tax rose to Rs 620.4 crore from Rs 403.0 crore, reflecting stronger operating performance during the quarter.

Sequential Growth

Compared with Q4 FY26, revenue from operations increased from Rs 2,230.3 crore to Rs 2,462.6 crore, while net profit rose from Rs 456.8 crore to Rs 471.9 crore.

Total expenses also increased sequentially to Rs 1,887.8 crore from Rs 1,676.1 crore, largely alongside higher business activity.

Profit before tax improved to Rs 620.4 crore from Rs 597.9 crore. Basic and diluted earnings per share stood at Rs 10.45, compared with Rs 10.14 in the preceding quarter.

Key Drivers

During the quarter, Premier Energies completed the acquisition of a 51 percent stake in Transcon Ind Ltd., making it a subsidiary with effect from April 3, 2026.

Consequently, the company introduced Power Transmission & Distribution Equipment as a separate reportable segment, which contributed Rs 106.5 crore in revenue during the quarter.

The company also terminated its proposed acquisition of KSolare Energy Pvt. Ltd., stating that there were no financial implications arising from the decision.

Full-Year Context

For FY26, Premier Energies reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 7,824.4 crore and net profit of Rs 1,509.7 crore.

The latest quarterly results also reflect the impact of changes in the group's business structure following recent acquisitions, including the consolidation of Transcon Ind Ltd. from April 2026.
