MP News: Neighbour Hits Retired Army Man, Ruptures His Eardrum Over Disputed Common Garden In Jabalpur-- CCTV
A retired Army man in Jabalpur alleged he was slapped in front of police, rupturing his eardrum, with the incident caught on CCTV. Victim RK Singh claimed ongoing harassment over a land dispute with neighbour Madan Yadav. Despite multiple complaints, no action was taken. He approached the SP, after which an inquiry was ordered into the incident.

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A shocking incident was reported in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, where a retired Army man was allegedly hurled a slap so hard that his eardrum ruptured. The accused neighbour attacked him over a disputed common garden.
The incident came to light from the Gaur police station area of Jabalpur. It reportedly took place in the presence of police personnel. The entire episode was captured on CCTV and the video is now going viral on social media.
The victim, RK Singh said that after the assault, he started facing hearing problems. He later underwent a medical examination at an Army hospital, where doctors confirmed that his eardrum had ruptured and advised surgery.
On Tuesday, Singh approached the Superintendent of Police during a public hearing, seeking justice.
He said that he lives in VastuLand Colony in Gaur Shaliwada area. Here, a long-standing dispute over a common garden with his neighbour Madan Yadav was ongoing.
According to Singh, Yadav used to grow vegetables on the disputed land and when Singh also started using the space, matter escalated.
He alleged that for the past 3 years, he was harassed, threatened and even assaulted by individuals.
Singh further claimed that on March 27, Madan Yadav called some people to the spot.
In the presence of a constable, identified as Dharmendra Soni, he was allegedly assaulted and slapped, which led to the injury.
He also complained to the police multiple times, Singh alleged that no action was taken.
After the recent incident, he again submitted a written complaint at Gaur police station. However, he claimed that the matter was not taken seriously, which forced him to approach higher authorities.
He has now submitted both a complaint letter and the viral video to the Superintendent of Police, demanding a fair investigation and strict action against those responsible.
Singh also alleged that he has been receiving threats and claimed that his neighbour’s daughter, who is a lawyer, is using her influence to intimidate him.
Following the complaint, Additional SP Suryakant Sharma has ordered an inquiry into the matter and directed the Gaur outpost in-charge to investigate.
