According to reports, Mahesh Jatav, a resident of the village, got married on March 30. Following the wedding, Mahesh returned to his village, Patai, with his bride. That night, while guests and family members were dining, a group of neighbours—identified as Manoj Jatav, Harnam, Bhim, and Naval Kishore Jatav—arrived at the groom's residence.
Demand of liquor
Citing the wedding festivities and the arrival of the new bride, they demanded money from Mahesh's family to purchase liquor. When Mahesh's family refused to provide the funds for alcohol, the accused began verbally abusing the family.
When the family members objected to this abuse, the situation escalated into a physical assault. The groom's mother, Sheela Jatav, and others who attempted to intervene were beaten, as was the bride herself.
Alleged loot after assault!
After the assault, the aggressors—the neighbours—looted household items and some cash kept inside the groom's house. Subsequently, guests present at the wedding also stepped in to resist the attackers, resulting in a physical clash between the two factions.
Following these events, the groom's mother, Sheela Jatav, along with other family members, visited the SP's office to lodge a formal complaint and demand the registration of a case against the accused, as well as their immediate arrest.
