12-Year-Old Girl Raped In Bhopal, 52-Year-Old Man Arrested

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Yet another sexual crime was committed against a minor in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal, as reported on Sunday.

According to police, a 12-year-old Class 5 student was allegedly raped by a 52-year-old man in the Kamla Nagar police station area of Bhopal.

The suspect allegedly lured the girl by promising to take her out and buy her something to eat. He then took her to a public toilet near her house, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.

Girl’s Brother Reached Spot

According to police, the girl’s brother reached the spot after hearing her cries. On seeing him, the suspect allegedly tried to flee.

The brother immediately informed the family about the incident. The girl’s relatives subsequently took her to Kamla Nagar police station and lodged a complaint on Saturday night.

Police registered an FIR and launched a search for the suspect. He was later arrested.

Medical Examination Conducted

The minor underwent a medical examination, and police are recording her statement. A case has been registered under the relevant provisions of the law.

Police are questioning the suspect and investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. They are also examining the crime scene and whether the suspect had any previous contact with the girl.
