Vrindavan Monkey Refuses To Take Sunglasses When Man Voluntarily Offers It To Avoid Snatching, But THIS Happens Later (Video)

Vrindavan monkeys are infamous for snatching away devotees' personal belongings, especially sunglasses, only to return them later if tempted with a Frooti drink. Knowing this all too well, one man thought he could outsmart them. Instead of risking a surprise snatching, he voluntarily offered his sunglasses to a group of monkeys. But guess what? That plan didn’t go as expected.

In the now-viral video, content creator Chandra Darsan, dressed in traditional desi attire with a japamala around his neck and sunglasses on, approached the monkeys calmly. Anticipating a possible snatch, he decided to offer the sunglasses first.

Monkeys ignore him

The clip shows him stretching out his hand, holding his shades toward the monkeys. One monkey lounged lazily on the edge of an old building while another sat nearby, both showed zero interest in his offering.

Seconds after they ignored his offer, the man turned toward the camera and began filming his reel, believing the monkeys wouldn't disturb him anymore. And that’s when the classic 'theft' happened.

The video captures him posing for the camera with the sunglasses back on his face. Out of nowhere, a monkey leaps down from above. In the blink of an eye, the sunglasses are gone. Yep — the monkey took them away, not when offered politely, but when the moment was just right for their habitual snatch.

Video records 4.2 million views
