Royal Caribbean Passenger Dies After 'Drunken' Rampage With Cruise Crew; Visuals Surface

A 35-year-old passenger on Royal Caribbean cruise sailing from Los Angles to Baja California died after an alleged drunken rampage onboard, less than an hour after departure from San Pedro. Identified as Michael Virgil, father of a seven-year-old son, reportedly broke into a fight with crew members of the cruise and few fellow passengers, who suggested that Michael was in an intoxicated state.

Visuals surface
In a video shared by Fox11, a passenger named Christifer Mikhail was heard saying, "That gentleman was drunk. He could have flick me and throw me like 30 feet because the guy he punched kind of flew a couple of feet back". Recounting the scene onboard, he pointed out that the security team took control soon after initially waiting for him to run out of energy.
Dies within an hour of sedative injection
The deceased man's family claimed that the staffers administered Michael a sedative after he turned chaotic on the cruise. He died less than an hour later.

Now, after the altercation and death, an FBI investigation has been launched into the matter. An autopsy is being done to determine the exact cause of death.
Royal Caribbean's remark on the incident
Addressing the death that took place on the cruise, Royal Caribbean was quoted as saying, “We are saddened by the passing of one of our guests. We offered support to the family and are working with authorities on their investigation".
