Lucknow: Drunk Driver Of Car With 'UP Sarkar' Label Hits Another Vehicle In Hazratganj; Video Surfaces

Lucknow: A driver identified to be associated with the Lakhimpur Forest Department was reportedly in an intoxicated state when he collided with another vehicle on the roadway in the Narhi area of Hazratganj. The man was drunk driving a Tata Safari with the label 'Uttar Pradesh Sarkar.' As the official vehicle was being driven by a drunk driver leading to a mishap, people demanded strict action to be taken in this regard. A video from the incident showing the driver and the cars from the accident spot has surfaced online and gone viral with the aim of drawing the attention of the police.

The driver was identified as Bharat Singh. The man whose vehicle was hit by the drunk man filmed a video from the site. He recorded Singh and his inebriated state. "Ye bhaiya nashe mein hai ghooth hai. Inka naam kya hai? Bharat Singh (Reading his name on the badge attached to his uniform). Ye gaadi chala rahe the aur inhone hamari khadi gaadi mein lagaayi hai gaadi )This brother is intoxicated. What's his name? Bharat Singh. He was driving the vehicle and he hit my parked car)," says the man.

Drunk driver refuses to repair hit car; police arrive on spot

The visuals capture the condition of the hit car and its damaged state. It also showed the drunk driver of the government vehicle unable to keep a steady posture. Singh was also seen refusing to repair the car and pay for its losses. The other car's man who filmed the video was heard saying, "Jab banvane ki baat ho rahi hai. Toh ye mana kar rahe hai."

At the end of the video, a police official was seen interrogating the driver. It hinted that police had arrived at the spot to look into the matter and take necessary action.
