IES VN Sule Guruji English Medium School emerged as champions of the IES football tournament held on November 27 at the IES Navi Mumbai High School Ground, Sector 1, Navi Mumbai.
The event witnessed remarkable enthusiasm and fervour as young footballers showcased their skills and sportsmanship.
The tournament featured 12 teams representing students from Standards 5 to 10, with one team from each participating school. The competition was filled with thrilling matches, reflecting the dedication and talent of all participants.
The grand finale was a closely contested match that crowned IES VN Sule Guruji English Medium School as the champions. Under the leadership of captain Anuj Jadhav, they emerged victorious by scoring two goals against IES Secondary Mulund, led by captain Parth Girikar, who managed to score one goal.
The winning and runner-up teams were honoured with medals, certificates, and trophies to recognize their outstanding efforts. The awards ceremony was graced by Shri Bablu Biswas, an esteemed Indian national football player, who encouraged and congratulated the young athletes for their exceptional performances.
