WWE Superstar and Liverpool fan Sheamus left former Manchester United full back Gary Neville in agony when the two met during a show. Sheamus got to meet Neville during a surprise appearance on The Overlap hosted by Rebecca Lowe.
During the interaction, the ex-England international (Neville) wanted to know how it is to be in the ring as a WWE superstar. Sheamus decided to give the former full-back a taste by using his signature 'Clover Leaf' submission move.
Sheamus initially struggled to apply the manoeuvre but ultimately managed to do it. The wrestler rubbed salt to injury when he ordered Neville to say "Liverpool are going to win the league" and that Arne Slot's side are "No1". Neville, on the other hand refused to submit and instead took a swipe at Liverpool twice.
Liverpool's current form
Liverpool recent lost to Tottenham Hotspurs in the first leg of the Carabao Cup was just a small bump in their incredible season so far. The Reds are very much in control of the Premier League as they are currently leading the race with six points between them and second placed Arsenal with a game in hand. Liverpool next faces third placed Nottingham Forest with a chance to extend their lead to 9 points at the top.
What's next for Sheamus?
Sheamus is now gearing up for the Royal Rumble, which is an event that has seen him enjoy tremendous success as he won the esteemed 30-man over-the-top-rope battle royal in 2012. The Rumble takes place on February 1 at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
