During the first test match between Sri Lanka and Australia, Aussie star Travis Head took an incredible catch at short leg to dismiss Angelo Mathews. A video of the catch went viral on social media.
The catch came in the 10th over of Day 2 when Nathan Lyon bowled a sharp delivery. Mathews misjudged it, and the ball edged high in the air. In a split second, Head leaped and grabbed it one-handed in an incredible display of reflexes.
Lyon was thrilled, while Mathews looked stunned as Head confidently appealed. The umpire didn’t even check the replays and gave him out immediately. The Australian team celebrated another brilliant fielding effort.

As for the match, Sri Lanka struggled at 44/3 by the end of the day, still trailing by 610 runs. Earlier, Usman Khawaja turned his century into a double, becoming the first Australian to score a double hundred in Sri Lanka in Test cricket.
Stand-in captain Steve Smith also smashed his 35th hundred, surpassing legends Sunil Gavaskar and Brian Lara in the list of most Test centuries.
Adding to Sri Lanka’s woes, debutant Josh Inglis smashed a rapid hundred off just 90 balls, becoming the 21st Australian to score a century on Test debut.
