Jasprit Bumrah Gets Nostalgic Over Awarapan 2 Song, Says 'Back In School...' In Viral Instagram Story

Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah took fans on a trip down memory lane after sharing a post about the upcoming film 'Awarapan 2' on his Instagram Story on Thursday.

The star pacer reposted the poster of "Tera Mera Rishta Continues (Film Ballad)", a new version of the iconic song from the 2007 film "Awarapan." Along with it, Bumrah wrote, "Back in school, listening to these songs made me feel so cool. Pure nostalgia."

His story quickly caught the attention of fans online, many of whom grew up listening to the original soundtrack and shared similar memories on social media.

The original "Tera Mera Rishta" became one of the most popular songs from Awarapan and is still remembered by Bollywood music lovers. The makers have now brought back the melody in "Tera Mera Rishta Continues (Film Ballad)", giving fans a fresh version while keeping the emotional feel of the original alive.

Bumrah's nostalgic post has added to the buzz surrounding the song's release.

The sequel is directed by Nitin Kakkar and also stars Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli, Aniruddh Rawal, and Atul Kumar. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14, 2026.

Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the India vs Sri Lanka Test series which is scheduled to commence from August 15. Jammu and Kashmir pacer Auquib Nabi has been named his replacement.
